Welcome to alphabench. By accessing or using the platform, websites, or related services (collectively, the Service), you agree to these Terms of Service (Terms).


1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. License and acceptable use

  • We grant you a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  • You may not: reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the Service; attempt to bypass security; resell or redistribute without permission; use the Service to violate laws, data licenses, or third‑party rights; or submit harmful content.
  • You are responsible for the legality of the data you submit and for complying with third‑party data licenses and restrictions.

3. User content and outputs

  • You may upload or generate content, including prompts, datasets, models, and artifacts (User Content). You retain rights in your User Content, subject to licenses granted here.
  • You grant alphabench a license to host, process, and display User Content for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
  • The Service may generate outputs, code, or analytics based on your inputs. Outputs are provided as is for informational purposes; they may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • You are solely responsible for validating outputs and for any use of them, including trading or investment decisions.

4. Third‑party services and data

  • The Service may integrate with third‑party data providers, brokers, or execution venues. Your use of such services is governed by their terms and licenses.
  • Market data and other third‑party content may have redistribution and usage restrictions. You must comply with those restrictions.

5. Fees, trials, and changes

  • We may offer free tiers, trials, or paid plans. Fees, billing cycles, and taxes will be disclosed at checkout or in an order form.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current term.
  • We may change pricing or plans; material changes will be communicated in advance where required. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal data.


7. Beta and pre‑release features

Some features may be offered as alpha, beta, or preview. They are provided for evaluation, may change, and may be discontinued. Performance and availability may be limited.


8. Service availability and support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows and outages may occur. Support levels may vary by plan.


9. Compliance, export, and sanctions

You must comply with applicable laws, including export control and sanctions laws. You may not use the Service if you are barred under applicable laws or on restricted lists.


10. No investment advice; educational use only

alphabench is a research workflow platform for quantitative researchers. The Service and all related content are provided solely for informational and educational purposes to support research workflows. The Service does not:

  • provide investment, trading, or financial advice, recommendations, guidance, or tips;
  • solicit the purchase or sale of any security, derivative, commodity interest, or other financial instrument; or
  • constitute an offer to transact in any instrument or to engage in any strategy.

alphabench is not a broker‑dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, or fiduciary, and no communication from the Service should be construed as personalized investment advice or a recommendation to act. You should consult your qualified financial, legal, or tax advisers before making any investment decision.

Any models, signals, analytics, sample code, backtests, market data, or other outputs are hypothetical, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are provided to assist research only. Markets involve risk, including the risk of loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for independently verifying information and for all decisions—including any trading decisions—made using or based on the Service.


11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.


12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR, IF NONE, 100 USD.


13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify alphabench from claims arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable laws, except to the extent a claim arises from our willful misconduct.


14. Term and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, for security or operational reasons, or where required by law. You may terminate by ceasing use and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription. Upon termination, your license ends and we may delete or restrict access to User Content subject to legal and backup obligations. Sections intended to survive will survive.


15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction indicated in your order form or account region, without regard to conflicts of law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required or agreed.

Where permitted, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration and a waiver of class actions. Small claims and injunctive relief for IP or security may be sought in court.


16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated and take effect upon posting or as stated. Continued use signifies acceptance.


17. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: these Terms and any order forms constitute the entire agreement.
  • Severability: if a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
  • Assignment: you may not assign without consent; we may assign in connection with a merger or sale.
  • Force majeure: neither party is liable for delays due to events beyond reasonable control.
  • Notices: we may contact you via the Service, email, or your account information.
